Tarlatamab for small cell lung cancer that returns after chemotherapy
Longer survival than chemotherapy in a randomized trial.
What studies found
In DeLLphi-304 (509 patients), tarlatamab gave median survival of 13.6 months versus 8.3 months with standard chemotherapy. The FDA gave full approval on 19 November 2025.
The catch
It carries a boxed warning for life-threatening cytokine release syndrome and nerve toxicity.
What to do
If small cell lung cancer comes back after chemotherapy, ask whether tarlatamab is an option.
